The Local Area

Take a short 10-minute stroll to the local village of Llannerch-y-medd, where you'll find a chip shop, local shop, cafe, two pubs, and play park for the little ones. And with stunning beaches and the coastal path just a 20-minute drive away in most directions, you'll have endless opportunities for exploration.

Lots of Water Sports to try!
Anglesey is a paradise for water sports enthusiasts! With its stunning coastline and crystal-clear waters, you can windsurf, kitesurf, surf, bodyboard, paddleboard, wing foil, kayak and even try coasteering. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced water sports enthusiast, there are plenty of opportunities to try them all. So, pack your wetsuit and head to Anglesey for an unforgettable water sports adventure! We can also provide you with details of where to get lessons or hire equipment - just ask!
The Bridges
Take a leisurely stroll under the Menai bridge, marvel in its design and enjoy the stunning views along the Menai Strait as you make your way along the coastal path to the Britannia Bridge and search for the Lions. For a more thrilling adventure and a closer look, hop on a rib ride and witness the beauty of the bridges up close.
Sunset Walks
There's no better way to experience Anglesey's natural beauty than by taking a sunset walk. As the sun begins to dip below the horizon, the sky is painted with a stunning array of colours, casting a warm glow over the landscape. The gentle sound of the waves lapping against the shore and the cool breeze on your face make for a truly peaceful and rejuvenating experience.

Looking for a fun family activity? With so many sandy beaches to choose from, building sandcastles is never far away! The kids will be entertained for hours while you soak up the sun and relax.
It's Crabbing Time
Why not try crabbing at Beaumaris Pier or the end of the Harbour at Cemaes Bay? A great way to enjoy the beautiful scenery while trying to catch some crabs. Who knows, you might even catch a record-breaking number! Fun for all the family!

Dog Walks on the Beach
Plenty of stunning beaches where you can enjoy a leisurely stroll with your furry friend. So grab your leash and explore the picturesque coastline of Anglesey! Only 8 have restricted areas from mid-May to mid-September otherwise dogs are welcome on all beaches.
Explore LLanddwyn Island

Visit South Stack Lighthouse
South Stack is a beautiful destination located on the north-west coast of Anglesey. The area is known for its stunning views of the Irish Sea and the lighthouse that stands tall on the cliffs. Visitors can enjoy a scenic walk along the coastal path, explore the RSPB reserve, or take a tour of the lighthouse down the 400 steps. For those looking for more adventures why not continue round to North Stack along the coastal path or climb to the top of Holyhead Mountain.
Trwyn Du/Penmon Lighthouse
Trwyn Du, located on the eastern tip of Anglesey, this lighthouse has been guiding ships safely through the treacherous waters of the Menai Strait for over 180 years. Visitors can explore the nearby coastal paths and the old Dove Cot and Penmon Priory and take in the amazing panoramic views of the surrounding area. Another enchanting perspective of Trwyn Du awaits on a boat journey to Puffin Island, where you can witness majestic seals and adorable puffins (from April to early July).

Embark on a breathtaking 20-minute journey to picturesque Aberffraw and discover the hidden gem that is the Church in the Sea. Don't forget to check the tide times to get up close and personal with this stunning landmark. A visit to Aberffraw and the Church in the Sea is an experience you won't want to miss!
Explore Beaumaris Castle
Embark on an enchanting adventure to Beaumaris Castle, where symmetry reigns supreme. Immerse yourself in the exploration of the castle and marvel at its captivating architecture. Don't miss the breath taking views of Snowdonia, visible across the strait. Following your castle exploration, indulge in the charm of the picturesque village of Beaumaris, with its delightful local shops awaiting your discovery. For the younger visitors, a charming park right next to the castle offers a perfect retreat.
Melin LLynon - Not just a windmill
Come and explore the historic Melin Llynnon, the oldest working windmill in Wales, (currently undergoing restoration). You can still climb the steep ladders and take a look around the windmill and visit the old round houses. Don't forget to try the famous Monuts (doughnuts), siocled (cholocate) and gin all produced on site. You can also join the Model Safari and search for the hidden animals and have a play in the mini playground.
Rock Pooling
A fun activity for both kids and adults. Explore the shallow waters around the rocky shorelines discovering fascinating creatures, from crabs to anemones and small fish, There's always something interesting to find. So grab your bucket and net and head to the beach for a day of discovery!

Snowdon & Snowdonia
Just a 45-minute drive to the base of Snowdon from our cottages and you can opt for a thrilling hike or a more leisurely train ride, the panoramic views from the summit are an absolute must-see. For those craving even more adventure, venture beyond Snowdon's peak to fully immerse yourself in the awe-inspiring landscape of Snowdonia. Additionally, the region offers an array of exciting activities, including heart-pounding experiences at Zip World and other outdoor pursuits like Canyoning and Gorge walking.
